Last night, it took a while before I got baby K to sleep. She was sleepy but just did not want to go to sleep. I think she was waiting for her daddy which comes home at 11:30pm. I decided to play around photo booth while waiting and she doesn't seem impressed by it. Excuse my messy hair as I just got off the shower when that happened.
She's been like this lately. She has not yet learned her sleep schedule. I tried to put her to bed at around 9pm and so she could wake up early in the morning but it only happened twice or so. I guess she doesn't like it and she wants to sleep whenever she wants. I just want her to get as much sleep as she can but it's hard. I feel like she's not getting enough sleep or am I just being paranoid? I want her to learn to have a sleep schedule but she's only four months, is that too early? I have read in some forums that their baby has sleep schedules and can even soothe themselves to sleep. In my case, I have to make sure the room is dark and I need to breastfeed her so she could sleep. It's okay in the beginning but lately, it's hard to do things around the house because she just wants to be with me. Any advice?
My kids never were great about sticking to a sleep schedule :) Each kid is different and if she isn't fussy during the day than more than likely she is getting enough sleep. She might be napping more during the day to make up on the sleep she misses at night.
ReplyDeleteThat totally makes sense. Now, I know why she's asleep during the day or vice versa! :)
DeleteMy kids didn't get on a schedule until they were about a year old. I breastfed all three of my children too. My kids always nursed in the middle of the night for at least a year. Your daughter is adorable.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I thought that my daughter is the only one doing this 'cos I kept reading from posts or forum that their babies sleep like angels during the night :)
